Mazak / SECO Medical Machining Forum

Florence, Kentucky, April 8, 2009 – Mazak Corporation will host the Seco Tools Medical Machining Forum on Wednesday, April 22. Taking place at Mazak's Center for Multi-Tasking and Manufacturing Excellence in Florence, Kentucky from 9.00 am – 3.30 pm, the technology forum will showcase the latest technology available for machining orthopedic components.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see demonstrations on a variety of Mazak multi-tasking machines specifically designed for medical applications, including the new INTEGREX i-150. The forum will also feature technical seminars by industry experts from Mazak, Seco Tools and Delcam on:

  • Emerging technology in medical manufacturing
  • Advanced solutions for the manufacture of orthopedic components
  • Benefits to non-traditional machining
  • On machine inspection and software fixturing
  • Adaptive machining and process automation
  • Machining difficult materials
  • High feed milling strategy and applications

Additionally, an open forum will be held at the end of the day where industry experts will be available for further discussions about machining and tooling strategies.
