Mazak Customer Hosts President Trump

FLORENCE, Ky., February 7, 2018 – Longtime Mazak customer Sheffer Corporation welcomed President Donald Trump into its facility for a special visit on February 5. Touting his tax reform efforts, President Trump gave a speech at the Cincinnati, Ohio-based company that earned recognition from the White House after it used a forthcoming tax break to provide each of its 126 employees with a $1,000 bonus.

After arriving at Sheffer’s headquarters and production facility, the president received a tour of the premises prior to giving a speech before an audience of the company’s employees, vendors and customers as well as state and local officials.

“The employees absolutely loved the event,” said Jeff Norris, president and CEO of Sheffer Corporation. “[President Trump] garnered much applause as he discussed the regulations and healthcare costs that burden today’s business owners.”

Founded by Harvey Sheffer in 1952, Sheffer Corporation is a global leader in cylinder and actuator manufacturing. The company’s part-production processes are centered around more than a dozen Mazak machining centers, primarily INTEGREX advanced Multi-Tasking machines, with more on the way. “All the manufacturing technology we acquire from Mazak gives us the DONE IN ONE® part-processing capability we need to remain competitive,” said Norris. On the length of the company’s relationship with Mazak, he added, “It is quite long. Our oldest machine dates back to about 2003.”
