It was another exciting IMTS year, with more than 114,000 visitors from around the world blanketing all four buildings of Chicago's McCormick Place to see the latest manufacturing technology, from metal cutting and workholding to software and automation. It was also a huge success for our company in that we showcased a level of technology that was among the highest in the machine tool industry.
The main entrance to the South building – where the 17,000-square-foot DISCOVER MORE WITH MAZAK™ booth has stood front and center since 2006 – was constantly packed with attendees wanting to experience the new, highly innovative ways we can boost precision, productivity and profitability in part production.
In fact, people left our booth feeling excited about the future of manufacturing having seen complete, highly productive manufacturing packages for all market segments. Not only did we showcase our latest, most advanced technology for Multi-Tasking, full 5-axis machining and large-part production (we're talking workpieces weighing up to 94,800 pounds), we unveiled our new SMOOTH TECHNOLOGY that represents a dramatic evolution in machine tool performance.
Our presence at IMTS 2014 was a force to be reckoned with, and we thank everyone who took the time to stop by our booth. It was also great to see the hundreds of thousands of people who came to the show to champion and improve the manufacturing industry.
