Our proud team is growing, and we need a Field Service Team Leader to cover for Ontario, Canada.

In a nutshell you will:

  • Proactively attain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Schedule and manage regional Field Service Technicians.
  • Effectively handle overflow phone calls/emails into service center as required.
  • Ensure customer responses are within prescribed time limits and quality as defined by corporate goals.
  • Thoroughly document out all customer calls in the ERP System.
  • Ensure personnel is used efficiently while maintaining prescribed response times.
  • Maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction and adhere to our service management principles.
  • Identify training and development needs of your service team.
  • Complete reports, assessment of problems, repairs completed, parts installed, and time involved.
  • Utilizes D365 for scheduling and detailed documentation of services records.
  • Coordinate and expedite as required repair parts to obtain realistic delivery dates.
  • Oversee / manage overtime, takes disciplinary action in coordination with the service manager, as necessary.
  • Utilize excellent call center / customer relationship skillset.
  • Proactively determine the need for specialty tools and parts and ensure these items are available for Field Service Technicians when they arrive on site.

What are your Qualifications:

  • 2 Year Technical Diploma or equivalent experience is a plus
  • Project Management / high activity scheduling experience
  • Customer relations experience
  • Ability to multitask
  • Previous supervision of field service technicians a plus
  • Excellent communication skills.

Travelling Requirement: 10% of the time. Assignments might require overnight or multiple night stay from time to time

Field Service Technician – Cambridge, Ontario

Field Service Technician – Cambridge, Ontario

We are currently searching for a candidate who will install equipment, train customers, execute warranty repairs and provide after warranty service on CNC Lathes and Machining Centers. Field Service Technicians are assigned Regional responsibilities and operate directly from their residences. This position reports to the Canada Technology Center in Cambridge, Ontario. Duties involve overnight travel from home to various customer facilities. Travel is required.

Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
  • Install machines and accessories at customer sites. Installation includes all necessary assembly, leveling, aligning, adjusting, calibrating and wiring of machines and accessories.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and software problems on machines and accessories at customer sites.
  • Test operation of machines and accessories after completing installation or repair
  • Train customers on functions of the machines
  • Learn new machines features and accessories as they become available
  • Complete reports documenting installation, assessment of reported problem, repairs completed, parts installed
  • Travel is required. Assignments will require overnight or multiple night stay.
  • Utilize various test equipment for trouble shooting purpose, indicators, test bars, clamp force, gages, etc.

Education/Certification:

  • 2-year technical training in electronics, mechanical or machine tool assembly
  • 1-3 years of experience in Field Service
  • High School Diploma

Skills:

  • Read/understand engineering drawings
  • Ability to work on own or in group while completing necessary tasks
  • Ability to understand PLC
  • HYD/Pneumatic circuits
  • General computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a repetitive daily basis.
  • Heavier lifting in excess of 50lbs on periodic basis
  • Ability to problem solve depending on situation.
  • Sound writing and reporting skills.
  • Strong people skills.

Les tâches du poste sont (mais ne sont pas limitées à):

  • Installer les machines et accessoires chez les clients. L'installation comprend tout l'assemblage, le nivellement, l'alignement, le réglage, le calibrage et le câblage nécessaires des machines et des accessoires.
  • Diagnostiquer et réparer les problèmes mécaniques, électriques et logiciels sur les machines et accessoires chez les clients.
  • Tester le fonctionnement des machines et des accessoires après avoir terminé l'installation ou la réparation
  • Former les clients sur les fonctions des machines
  • Découvrez les nouvelles fonctionnalités et accessoires des machines dès qu'ils sont disponibles
  • Faire les rapports en documentant l’installation, l’évaluation du problème signalé, les réparations effectuées et les pièces installées
  • Utilisez plusieurs équipements de test (indicateurs, barres de calibration, force de retenue, jauges, etc.) à des fins de dépannage

Quelles sont vos qualifications:

  • Éducation: Certification ou diplôme de mécanicien de chantier ou d’électricien
  • Expérience d’au moins 1 à 3 ans comme technicien(ne) de service sur le terrain, avec des connaissances sur la lecture et compréhension des dessins techniques, des automates programmables et des circuits hydrauliques / pneumatiques
  • Permis de conduire classe 5
  • MS Office
  • Solides compétences en rédaction des rapports

Exigence de déplacement : 50 % du temps, en fonction de votre localisation et des clients. Les affectations peuvent nécessiter un séjour d'une nuit ou de plusieurs nuits de temps à autre, et voyager aux États Unis et au Japon pour entreînement.
